The following gives you a straightforward overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data by which you can be personally identified.

Vercel
We host our website with Vercel. The provider is Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA.
Vercel provides cloud infrastructure. When you visit our website, metadata (for example IP addresses) is processed so that the page can be delivered to you. Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which guarantees an adequate level of data protection. This use is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in delivering our website quickly and securely).

SSL / TLS encryption
For security reasons this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. When SSL or TLS encryption is active, the data you send us cannot be read by third parties.
We take your privacy extremely seriously. For that reason we do not use any analytics tools that set cookies or make you personally identifiable.
Umami
We use the analytics tool Umami. Umami collects no personal data, sets no cookies and does not store IP addresses permanently. All data is fully anonymised and serves only the statistical evaluation of website use.
The legal basis for these analytics is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in improving our website without intruding on the user's privacy).
We use no marketing or tracking cookies.
Local storage
To improve usability (for example remembering your choice between dark mode and light mode), we use your browser's local storage. This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our server.
Language cookie (arunaweb-locale)
This website is offered in several languages. So that your choice of language is kept as you move between pages, we store it in a cookie named arunaweb-locale. This cookie contains only the language code (for example de, en or ru), no personal data, and is not used to analyse or recognise you as a person.
It is a session cookie: it is deleted as soon as you close your browser.
Both are technically necessary for the website to behave the way you have set it up (legal basis: § 25(2)(2) TDDDG). No consent is required for this.

Resend (email delivery)
We use the service Resend for the technical delivery of emails. The provider is Resend Inc., 2261 Market Street #4008, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA.
For the purpose of email delivery, Resend receives your name (if given) and your email address. Resend acts as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. A corresponding data processing agreement is in place with Resend. Resend uses EU-compliant standard contractual clauses (SCCs) for data transfers to the USA and is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

If you contact us directly by email (outside the quick check), we use Zoho Mail for this. Zoho undertakes to comply with GDPR standards. Your data is not passed on without your consent and is deleted once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
